NAESM was created in an effort to counteract the ever increasing spread of HIV/AIDS in communities of color. Since the opening of its doors in 1990, NAESM has taken great pride in serving Atlanta's minority community. As a non-profit community based organization, NAESM is a beacon of hope for those in need of love and understanding.
The mission of NAESM is to educate communities of color on the facts about HIV/AIDS (Education and Prevention) and to make health care and social services available to people of color with early or advanced stages of HIV/AIDS regardless of their sexual orientation.
NAESM is a financially solvent service organization with a supportive leadership structure and diverse board of directors that builds a community of Black gay men to eliminate HIV and other health conditions that disproportionately affect our community. NAESM fosters a climate of trust, integrity, and respect that encourages the provision of quality services.
