Program Assistant for Prevention/Administration
Demarttice joined NAESM, Inc. in July 2017 as a volunteer and currently serves as the organization’s Program Assistant for the Department of Prevention. Demarttice is responsible for providing general administrative assistance and support with day-to-day administrative operations (logistical and event planning, developmental work, organizational records and filing, upkeep of organizational database, facilities management and other office functions). In addition, Demarttice also assists lead staff with program administrative activities including maintaining program participant files, tracking status of participants, maintaining participants’ information in the database, collecting and recording feedback and evaluation of trainings, recordkeeping and reporting, and other tasks as needed.
Prior to joining NAESM, Inc., Demarttice served as Project Manager for The Initiative of Black People in Germany (ISD Bund, e.V.) where he addressed disparities faced by the Afro-German communities by creating community outreach initiatives to drive a workforce development pipeline for members. Demarttice also managed the social media outlets and membership records for the Stuttgart chapter of the organization.
Demarttice earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethnicity and Race Studies and Linguistics from Columbia University.
